GMS has made all of our forms available on the school website. If you go to www.gorhamschools.org ; click on the Gorham Middle School icon located at the top of the home page; Once you are at the GMS website, you will see a listing on the left side of the page; Scroll down until you come to Important Documents, click on it and there will be a listing of all the documents that we sent home to parents.
YEARBOOK ORDER FORMS
Yearbook order forms are now available through your child’s advisor and also in the office OR you may order online @ ybpay.lifetouch.com and you must use the Yearbook ID Code: 3788217. We start this process early in hopes to give plenty of opportunity for parents to decide if they would like to place an order. ORDER DEADLINE: APRIL 13, 2017

BOX TOP
GMS, please bring your box tops to the office. Each box top gets the 6th grade closer to going on field trips. Each box top is worth 10 cents and if everyone brought in their box tops, the school would make a lot of money! Thank you!
HEART & SOLE
Heart & Sole is a 10 week program with a small team size of 8-15 girls. Girls have an opportunity to build strong connections with one another. The program teaches life skills such as:
Team building
Making connections & friendships
Overcoming obstacles
The end of the program includes a celebratory 5K.

STEEL BAND “WINTER FEVER RELIEVER”
Save the date – February 12th 6-8:30PM
Gorham Schools Steel Bands & Portland Steel Band, Sister Steel will be performing in the GMS Cafeteria. Dinner, dancing & fun!
Steel band – please check your email for important info and permission slips for this event.
INDOOR TRACK
There will be an informational meeting about Indoor Track on Wednesday, February 1 during advisory. The meeting will be held in the cafeteria.
POSTER CONTEST FOR THIS YEAR’S MUSICAL THE LITTLE MERMAID JUNIOR
Do you love to draw? Are you creative digitally? Are you an artist at heart? If so, please consider submitting an original work of art for the 2017 Poster Contest. This year’s musical is The Little Mermaid Junior! Artists are encouraged to create images and graphics related to the underwater excitement of The Little Mermaid. Designs can be either pencil and paper or digital and they need to be submitted to Ms. Rounds no later than Friday, February 3rd. Please see posters around the school or Ms. Rounds with any questions.

GENTLE REMINDER ABOUT BEING TARDY
At the beginning of the school year we remind students who arrive late, that his/her parents must call the office to let us know. In doing so, it is considered an EXCUSED tardy. However, if we do not hear from the parent/guardian, then the student will receive an UNEXCUSED tardy. If he/she gets three UNEXCUSED tardies, they will be given an after school detention. The expectation is that students should be in their advisory and ready for school by 7:55AM.

PLANNED ABSENCES
If your child is going to be out of school for a planned absence of 3 OR more days, there is a form that needs to be completed and turned into the school.~ Please turn this form in at least 15 days before the planned absence.
